One of our Fortune 20 financial clients is looking to train up individuals for their Site Reliability Engineering division. This would consist of a 13-week boot camp starting in February 2025 and transition into a contract to hire in May 2025. Individuals must live in/near either Phoenix, AZ or Pittsburgh, PA. Training with start 100% remote, but then transition to on-site training near Phoenix, AZ or Pittsburgh, PA. More information regarding the program is below. The digital revolution has transformed virtually every area of human activity. You can launch your career and build up your professional arsenal by learning the latest skills for SRE development in a fraction of the time. This accelerator program is a full-time, 13-week program that gives you the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

This boot camp will cover a wide range of topics, including Agile Scrum, Linux and Bash Shell scripting, Python programming, SRE principles and practical examples, DevOps with Docker and Kubernetes, SQL programming with MySQL, using MongoDB, and working with Apache Kafka stream API. Each week, you will delve into a different aspect of SRE, gradually building a strong foundation and practical experience to succeed in this critical role. As you expand your skills, you’ll use what you learn with hands-on projects. Upon successfully completing the program, you’ll have the experience necessary and the opportunity to tap into rewarding employment possibilities at one of TEKsystems financial customers.

MUST HAVE

  1. Bachelor’s degree within IT is preferred, but not required (Preferably Programming, Networking, DevOps)
  2. Personal Computer with the following requirements:
  • 256Gb Hard drive or greater (with at least 100Gb available)​​
  • Webcam with Microphone or Webcam and Headset​​
  • RAM: 12 GB Minimum, 64-bit Operating System​​
  • CPU: I5-I7 quad core min; 6-8 core preferred​​
  • Intel and AMD; chrome books not supported​​
  • PC only; Mac not supported​​
  • Stable internet access (WIFI/LAN)​
  1. Sign a 12-month commitment for free training. If you leave at any point before 5/2/2026, only then you will be asked to reimburse the client $16,000 for training.
  2. Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future. (Contract and Full-time as a W-2 employee)
  3. This will be at least a 40-hours/week commitment. This is very fast paced and in-depth training so be prepared for some homework at night and on weekends during training.
  4. Must score over 70 on each of the IKM Assessments. Assessments focus on Python and Network Concepts
  5. Shifts will vary between days/nights weekdays and days/nights weekends. Must be open to varying shifts.
