Volt is immediately hiring for an Engineering Technician - || Palm Bay, FL 32905 Position Type: Full time Contract Duration: 06-12 Months Location: Palm Bay, FL 32905 (Onsite) As an Engineering Technician, you will:This is a hands-on manufacturing position and requires technicians knowledgeable in aerospace assembly and high-reliability procedures.Support of space structures Subassembly manufacturing and Single Line Flow integration.Individual contributor effort with limited supervision manufacturing and integrating deployable mesh reflectors.Measure using multiple types of measurement tools i.e., tape measure, calipers, inclinometer.Following engineering drawings and processes.Mechanical assembly and test of space hardware.System level hardware integration.Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, vibe, etc.).Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements.Field support for spacecraft integration and precision alignments.Working for extended periods (2-hour durations) while performing work above shoulder level or while in a lying position.Work performed at elevated heights occasionally (up to 30 feet).Repetitive movements during specified durations.Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle and manufacture space hardware.Utilize ladder multiple times per shift. The ideal candidate will have:High School Diploma minimum 4 years experience in assembly, test, manufacturing, or related field.Minimum 4 years experience in assembly, test, manufacturing, or related field.Ability to obtain a security clearance and work in a classified areaPreferred Additional Skills:4 years of experience with manufacturing of space qualified hardware.Pay Range: $30.00-$34.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration Please hit APPLY to provide the required information, and we will be back in touch as soon as possible.
