Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the development and implementation of Pace's Leadership Development programs, curriculums, and delivery of that enable effective onboarding and continued development of Pace's leaders within our Pace system of laboratories.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages staff including hiring, training, development and engagement of self and team members, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and performance management.
- Leads efforts to plan and design leadership programs based on Pace's leadership competencies and by using data on needs from sources such as development plans, 360s, and other leadership assessment tools.
- Works to align learning programs and objectives to ensure that organizational frontline leaders and managers are trained on role specific management skills, Pace policies, and leadership capabilities to drive performance from onboarding through job proficiency.
- Designs innovative learning solutions and programs, incorporating multiple formats and relevant learning activities, including classroom and virtual instructor-led material and on demand; designs learning approaches that are effective and engaging to learners, applying adult learning principles, and follow-up reinforcement activities.
- Sources leadership development vendors and consultants that assist with development and delivery of leadership development programs or provide related services; serves as the vendor's point-of-contact to address questions, resolve issues and performance of contracts; as needed.
- Evaluates and improves program effectiveness through defined metrics and feedback, measures and reports program outcomes against business objectives, and ensure that stakeholders are updated on impact measures.
- Leverages network of industry peers and market research to access best practices that expand the quality and accessibility of development solutions and programs.
- Partners with HR leaders and key business leaders to establish sponsorship, manage stakeholders, conduct needs assessments, designs, plans for implementation, delivery, and evaluates solutions that foster alignment, building leadership capabilities and further the organizations talent strategies.
- Partners across functions to identify stakeholder needs and develop solutions that improve business results through increased retention, improved engagement, and the development of high-performing leaders and managers, operating respectfully while fostering the open exchange of ideas between people.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills, presence, and business acumen
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a closely related field; AND five (5) years of professional employee development and training experience with two (2) years specifically in management development; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Principles and practices of program planning, development, and evaluation.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Required Skills:
- Training others in policies and procedures related to the work.
- Performing professional-level training and development duties in a variety of environments.
- Effective and efficient management of programs and staff.
- Maintaining accurate records and files.
- Carrying assigned projects through, from development to implementation.
- Providing consulting services to supervisors and managers.
- Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
- Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
- Using tact, discretion, and prudence in working with those contacted in the course of the work.
- Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups.
- Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.
- Effective and efficient use of technology to design, implement and provide services.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work.
