_*Medical Assistant (MA)-Wilmington, NC*_

Our thriving private practice, East Carolina Pain Consultants (ECPC), is seeking a self-motivated and friendly, Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient service for our vibrant pain clinic in Wilmington, NC. Our practice is a division of East Carolina Anesthesia Associates (ECAA), the MidAtlantic’s most stable private practice.

The ideal candidate will assist the physician in the practice with a variety of tasks will include both clinical and administrative.

Schedule: M-F, 8:30 am – 5 pm

*Daily Responsibilities:*
* Preparing exam rooms and patients for medical examinations
* Enter medical histories and medications in EMR
* Measuring vital signs, like blood pressure
* Administering injections per physician’s instructions and as regulated by state law
* Instructing patients about medications upon provider's instruction
* Documenting messages to send to providers, prescription requests, medical questions etc...
* Answering phones
* Schedule appointments
* Authorizations- MRI's, procedures etc....
* Referrals
* Prepare charts

*Qualifications/Skills*:
* Knowledge of fluoro and radiology procedures, (possibly).
* Experience working in a clinic setting
* Experience obtaining prior authorizations and follow-up calls
* Proven effective communication skills with patient and staff
* Experience with an office based EMR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
