Department Overview
Corporate Affairs plays a vital role building trust with regulatory, federal, state and local policymakers to achieve regulatory and legislative outcomes that help PG&E deliver safe, reliable, clean and affordable energy for our hometowns. Our focus areas include regulatory proceedings, stakeholder engagement and advancement of PG&Es objectives in local, state and federal policy. Corporate Affairs consists of Regulatory Affairs, Federal Affairs, State Government Affairs, Local Government Affairs, Community Relations, Corporate Sustainability team and Compliance Risk and Operations.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support over the Corporate Affairs compliance and risk programs including acting.in a consultative capacity as a business partner and compliance and controls expert within Corporate Affairs. This position is responsible for understanding the business environment and associated compliance requirements of the assigned business unit(s), identifying and assessing organizational compliance requirements, helping requirement owners develop controls and metrics, evaluating controls for design and operating effectiveness and providing recommendations to strengthen control environment, evaluating control deficiencies, supporting the design of mitigating activities, performing investigations on non-compliance events, helping to facilitate and publish policies and standards, and other compliance and risk work in line with compliance objectives and/or established risk protocols. The individual will support an infrastructure that enables business units, departments and employees to conduct business in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $102,000
Bay Area Maximum: $152,000
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrates understanding of compliance concept
Provides compliance expertise to assigned Functional Area (FA) department(s)
Support evaluation of requirements, assess risk, monitor compliance and assist department to develop effective remediation plans based on root causes
Provides advice to assigned department(s) to facilitate the design and implementation of effective controls to mitigate risk and manage compliance requirements
Ensures the assigned business unit appropriately identifies and tracks compliance requirements owned by the FA in line with the compliance program standards and procedures.
Evaluates compliance controls, testing, auditing/monitoring and remediation plans
Identifies and evaluates compliance risks and facilitates the mitigation of identified risks
Participates in or may lead root cause analysis activities
Facilitates the assigned business unit to develop and analyze metrics related to compliance and risk
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
---------------------------
Bachelors degree in any of Management, Risk and Insurance, Communications, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; or equivalent experience
Requires minimum of 5 years of related experience (i.e. compliance, auditing, program/process management/implementation, strategy, regulatory, operations)
Desired Qualifications

Experience implementing effective compliance and risk controls into normal work processes
Able to develop, document and implement effective compliance remediation plans and risk
mitigation strategies.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to provide proactive, high quality customer service while resolving issues
