Position Summary
Assists with quality patient care by being sensitive to the needs, interest, and abilities of residents.
Physical demands:
- Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.)
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching
- Lift supplies/equipment
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Occasional prolonged standing/walking.
Working Conditions:
- Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances
- May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases; proper PPE provided
- Occasional exposure to unpleasant patients
Minimum Education
- High School graduate or GED
Minimum Experience/Skills
- 2+ years' experience of coordinating activities preferred.
- Working knowledge of of MDS resident assessment and electronic medical record charting.
- Ability to plan and organize resident engagement programs and supervise subordinate staff.
Required Certification/Registration
- CA Activity Director Certification
