The Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center (AASC) Team is growing and seeking OR Circulator.

OR Circulator should have experience in:
* Orthopedic Surgery
* Spine Surgery
* ACLS and BLS certification required
* ·Acting as an advocate for the patient before, during and after surgery·
* _Preparing the surgical tools and materials that the surgical team will need during the operation_
* Recording every aspect of an operation, including the names and titles of those performing the surgery, the tools used, the amount of anesthetic a patient received and how long the surgery took
* Advising the surgical team on potential harm to the patient during surgery
* Assisting surgeons during the surgery if needed
* Escorting patients to the recovery room post-operation
* Cleaning the operating room post-operation
* Accounting for all tools used during the procedurePerforms thorough patient interview and assessment in accordance with procedure and assures an appropriate, detailed time out process is done according to policy.
* · Consistently reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure. Assures appropriate consent, H/P, diagnostic reports, and relevant information are on chart prior to the start of procedure.
* · Prepares and administers medications in accordance with current practice.
* · Performs nursing activities in the operating room where the circulating nurse is the patient's advocate.
* · Answers patient needs by assisting the physician and person responsible for anesthesia care.
* · Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
* · Maintains professional competence by participating in continuing education and other learning experiences.
* · Adheres to safety and environment of care policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities.
* Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, with attention to requirements specific to the outpatient setting.
* Performs the circulating nurse's role and functions following approved operating room procedures to meet the requirements of scheduled procedures.
* Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and physician.
* Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate care for patients.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor, administrator.
