Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Rockville, Maryland. This role involves delivering high-quality primary care, including annual physicals, sick and well visits, and managing a typical primary care patient load. You will be expected to see 16-20 patients per day, ensuring each receives the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribing medications and treatments as necessary
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Providing patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborating with medical assistants and other support staff to deliver efficient patient care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting
- Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland
- Strong clinical skills and ability to function autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable seeing 16-20 patients per day
