Job Description:

A Travel ICU RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and assess patients' critical conditions, including vital signs, hemodynamic status, and laboratory results.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
* Provide advanced life support and emergency care as necessary.
* Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
* Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care decisions.
* Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs.
* Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
* Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide input on patient care.
* Manage multiple patients effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
* Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
* Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
* BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
* Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
* Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
* Experience with EMR systems; familiarity with specific hospital systems is a plus.

Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
