Job Summary

  • The Patient Care Technician is accountable for performing duties concerning direct and indirect patient care as assigned. 
  • Coordinates non-clinical activities of the patient care unit, transcribes physician orders, performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains the medical record of all patients on the assigned unit.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • No experience required.
  • Health Care and Medical Terminology Experience preferred.
  • Clerical and Computer Experience preferred.

License/Certification/Registration

  • Basic Life Support certification is mandatory within six months of entering into this position.

Work Schedule

  • Day/Evening Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm, varied days; PRN (as needed)
  • No weekends, holidays, or call involvement, typical shift length 10 hours

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
