We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Endoscopy department. As a Registered Nurse - Endoscopy, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Perform admission, endoscopy, or recovery nursing duties as assigned.
* Explain procedures and provide emotional support to patients to ensure their cooperation, and to alleviate their apprehension.
* Administer medication in accordance with protocol.
* Provide support and assistance to physicians and technicians during procedures.
* Maintain awareness of comfort levels and safety needs of patients.
* Use monitoring devices and/or direct observation to determine any significant changes in patients' condition, and notify attending physician of same.
* Alert physicians to any emergent condition or deviation from required procedural preparation that could lead to some adverse reaction, following up with ASC Nurse Supervisor and/or Director of Clinical Operations when appropriate.
* Know location of and how to safely use emergency equipment.
* Participate in unit quality improvement activities, education, and/or experiences.
* Special assignments or projects as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*

* BS in Nursing from an accredited institution required, some graduate study preferred; and
