Are you passionate about Women's Health? Dubuque Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C. is looking for a registered nurse to join our nurse triage team. Primary role is triaging patient phone calls, NSTs, injections, obstetric interviews, medication prior authorizations, and other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide general medical care and select patient care tasks; working collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and other multidisciplinary team members.
* Provides individualized education to patients and families appropriate for age, diagnosis, and level of understanding. Provide telephonic support to patients.
* Observes, records, and reports changes in patients’ conditions.
* Complete new obstetrical interviews, assist with staple removal, NSTs, and in office injections.
* Follows standard precautions with all patients for proper infection control; correctly follows medical and surgical aseptic technique when indicated.
* Make follow up calls as requested by the provider.
* Assist with prior authorizations for medications.
* Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Current Iowa RN license.
* Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification (BLS).
* Computer literacy: able to perform basic functions on a computer, including Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office applications.
* English language literacy: able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
