*Job Responsibilities:*

The primary role of this position is to transfer items from plant to plant.

*Job Duties:*
* Performs pre-trip inspections on vehicles and reports any problems to the onsite Ryder & PFI automotive mechanic and/or takes equipment to the shop for repairs.
* Ensure trucks are fueled.
* Responsible for keeping the truck and trailers clean and organized.
* Transport loads from Main Plant to OCFS in accordance with SOP.
* Ensure load has the proper paperwork as to what is being transferred.
* Work closely with yard supervisor and other drivers on all product transfer needs.
* Ensure all product produced at Main Plant is transferred to OCFS (off season) at the end of shift. During season hand off paperwork to the next shift driver.
* Occasionally transfer non-perishable items such as packaging supplies, equipment, etc. from plant to plant.
* Must be willing to travel occasionally to Grand Rapids.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Skills and Qualifications:*
* At least 2 year of experience with driving
* Knowledgeable of road safety regulations
* CDL - Class A
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and ability to follow them properly.
* Safely drive Commercial Motor Vehicles & comply with all speed limits and laws.
* Ability to read, interpret, and follow written job instructions.
* Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.
* Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
* May be required to obtain and maintain a valid hi-lo license.
* Ability to work as a contributing member within the team.
* Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).
