Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. If you are passionate about oral health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and performing other tasks as directed - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred - Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar systems - Knowledge of medical coding and terminology related to dental procedures - Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic anatomy knowledge - Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting - Ability to operate CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions (preferred but not required) - Experience in dental assisting is a plus If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
