The RN functions primarily in direct patient care and demonstrates “competent” clinical practice. Thisposition triages patients, obtains patient history and vital signs and assesses patients. Acts independentlyto initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations. Provides care for theacutely ill as well as the non-acute patient. Performs multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simplenursing skills and assists the physician with their procedures. Provides comfort, both physical andpsychological, to the patient, their family, and visitors. Provides discharge and follow-up instructions to thepatient and family. Answers the ambulance radios and, without assistance, give appropriate orders forpre-hospital care. Works with multiple types of sophisticated equipment and handles various types ofpatients in a frequently stressful environment.Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility. Submission Requirements 2+ Years of Experience - Required Profile Requirements:Work HistorySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two yearsLicense/Certifications (MI LARA & BLS, ACLS - AHA)Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction) Certification Requirements ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA) State License Requirements Michigan Additional License Requirements Active at time of submission About the Facility A Department of MyMichigan Medical Center ClareOpen 24 hours per day, 365 days per yearOffering care for adult and pediatric patients.Staffed by board-certified physicians and nursed with specialized emergency experience'Fully-equipped to provide care for all common emergency conditions, including heart attack, stroke and minor trauma.A telemedicine program enables patients to receive consultations from neurologists and other specialists at the University of Michigan, for faster decision-making during stroke planning and treatment.Ambulance entrance and helipadAdjacent observation unit for those who require further observation to stay up to 24 hours.Dress Code: Navy BlueEMR: Epic**This client has a rebate of 2% of all billings related to this assignment; passthrough expenses are not subject to any rebates.
