Raytheon is hiring a Lead Agilest to support our teams in Tewksbury, Massachusetts onsite. You will work within the Air & Missile Defense Software Department supporting the Patriot Software Development Team. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing Patriot training software in support of new system capabilities. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern languages and computing platforms.
What You Will Do
Agile Ceremonies Management:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate PI (Program Increment) planning events.
- Conduct and manage Scrum of Scrums, ensuring effective coordination among teams.
- Support teams in implementation of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) as well as principles, practices, and tools.
- Mentor team members on the effective use of Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Tool Implementation and Utilization:
- Guide teams on the effective use of Agile tools, particularly JIRA, for tracking progress and managing workflows.
- Customize and configure JIRA to meet the specific needs of the teams and projects.
- Monitor and ensure proper use of Agile tools, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a liaison between development teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Communicate progress, impediments, and changes to the broader organization effectively.
Requirements Management:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize software requirements.
- Ensure requirements are clearly communicated and understood by development teams.
- Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date backlog of requirements in JIRA or other relevant tools.
- Assist in translating business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
- Ensure traceability of requirements through the development lifecycle.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years experience.
- Experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Agile Project Manager in a software development environment.
- Experience organizing and facilitating Agile ceremonies, including, but not limited to PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, etc.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Proficiency with Agile tools, particularly JIRA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Ability to document, implement, and drive Agile adoption at the portfolio level.
- Excellent training and mentoring skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable. Familiarity with Raytheon software development process is also helpful.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
