The Phlebotomist will report to the Laboratory Manager and will work closely with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate and efficient collection of blood samples.
The laboratory unit where the Phlebotomist will work is equipped with modern technology and follows rigorous standards for quality and safety. The team is dedicated to providing exceptional care, ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of service during their visit.
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients using appropriate techniques and ensuring that samples are collected and labeled accurately. You will maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhere to infection control protocols, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks such as entering patient information into the system and managing inventory of phlebotomy supplies.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and a Phlebotomy Certification is required. Previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred, with a strong understanding of blood collection techniques and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are also important for success in this role.
