We are looking for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Front Royal, VA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.

As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
  • Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
  • Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS and ASHA National Certification with state-specific licensing.

SLPs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
