Maintenance Technician

Duro-Last Roofing, the world's largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in their Maintenance Department. The position is located at our plant in Kernersville, NC. This is a full- time, hourly position with excellent benefits.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery
  • Maintain facility and associated equipment
  • Work with maintenance vendors
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Complete and submit company purchase requisitions
  • Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
  • Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions
  • Must have experience with Industrial Controls
  • Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting, operating machinery, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication
  • Excellent safety and attendance record
  • Must be able to work overtime when required
  • Self-motivated and be able to multi-task
  • High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized
  • Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually
