Job Summary

  • Under direction and supervision of the Operating Room Nurse Manager is continuously responsible for providing technical surgical care to patients in support of care as directed by the physician and in accordance with established hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures;
  • Directly responsible for providing specified services for surgical patients under direction and supervision of Operating Room Nurse Manager;
  • Responsible for acting in capacity as directed by Director, Operating Room Nurse Manager and/or Lead Surgical Technician. 
  • Call for after hour evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements

  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (AAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).  
  • Certification maintained through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or Surgery-Certified (TS-C) Credential from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Surgical practice training, i.e., CST program or surgical assistant program or equivalent is required. 
  • Experience of one or more years as scrub member of surgical team is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Varied shifts as needed; PRN

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $23.25 - $34.00 per hour
