Description

The Shift Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing in the coordination of the team to deliver resident care in a compassionate and ethical manner according to recognized standards and the resident care model on assigned shift. The Shift Supervisor works closely with the Leadership team in maintaining the operations of the facility during assigned shift. Fosters change and teamwork within the facility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience clinical staff nurse.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • American Nurses Association Certification in Gerontological Nursing upon hire.
  • Experience as a Shift Supervisor, or Charge Nurse in Acute or Long-Term Care.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
