Job Summary:

The Hardlines Lead is responsible for overseeing the hardlines department, which includes non-apparel items such as electronics, household goods, hardware and furniture. They ensure the efficient operation of the department, maintain shopability and provide exceptional customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the hardlines department is properly organized, and visually appealing by following merchandising and display standards.
  • Ensure Department is clean, recovered and well maintained as the code W policy states.
  • Follow our lettered program as directed.
  • Ensuring when new product arrives it is stocked and presented to merchandising standards within 24 hours.
  • Train, mentor, and coach associates on product knowledge, merchandising, and customer service skills.
  • Maintain the hardline department's inventory, including stock replenishment, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Follow merchandising standards to ensure the department is visually appealing and easy to navigate for customers.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to execute sales promotions, marketing initiatives, and special events to drive traffic and increase sales in the hardlines department.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer service, sales, safety, and security within the department.
  • Frequently check expiration dates on consumable items to ensure safety.
  • Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the store manager.


Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Previous hardlines experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • High school diploma , GED or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended hours, up to entire shift
  • Frequently lift items over 50 pounds
  • Background check required


Salary Description

$12.00 per hour
