ChristianaCare Urology at Elkton is located at 137 West High Street in Elkton, Maryland. Our empathetic specialists treat patients that have conditions that affect the urinary tract in men, women and children, and diseases that affect the reproductive system. They're highly skilled and treat bladder problems, urinary tract infections, bladder and kidney cancer, kidney blockage, and kidney stones, among others.

Urology ChristianaCare Cecil County ()

Work Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
  • Tuesday from 8am to 6pm
  • No weekends, no holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
