Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian- Universities for The College of New Jersey located in Trenton, New Jersey. Sodexo manages a resident dining program, a food court, a late night dining hall, 3 cafes, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, and catering operations. 

 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • partner closely with an Executive Chef and/or café management in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales and determining what can be offered differently;
  • meet with students and plan meals for those with food allergies or requiring dietary accommodations,
  • educate students and promote wellness via tabling events and presentations;
  • participate with client-driven wellness events such as Health Fairs and community outreach.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR;
  • have experience working in a College or University setting, preferred; 
  • have Eating Disorders experience, preferred;
  • have strong presentation and public speaking skills; and/or
  • have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.

What We Offer:

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
