  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP (bi-weekly orientation)
  • Guaranteed Hours Per week: 80hrs biweekly - ability to cancel 1-12 HR shift per 2 weeks
  • Shift Requirements: 8hr Days
  • Weekend/Holiday: As urgent needs arise
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: Call coverage one Saturday per month
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years’ experience in social services and counseling in a medical hospital acute care setting
  • Charting Experience Required: Meditech preferred, not required
  • Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates
  • COVID Vaccine Requirements: COVID Vaccination is required unless a medical or religious declination is applicable. Declinations are approved by Humboldt
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed. 12 hours non-billable orientation

  • Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): Behavioral/Psych Units (3A up to 24 pts, 3B up to 15 pts, 3D up to 15 pts). Busy/fast paced environment. Currently, the unit is typically providing care for 40 patients. RNs, Mental Health Counselors, and CNAs also staffed on the unit. Ratios are typically 2 RNs to 3 MHC/LCSWs per section.
