Seeking a Surgical/Trauma ICU Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team and serve some of the highest acuity patients in Illinois.  Our SICU PCTs work with cutting edge technology and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the medical center and region.  PCTs who embrace a passion for a dynamic and intense environment that requires quick thinking and possess excellent analytical and assessment skills will see themselves as part of this highly skilled and welcoming team that provides top quality care to our patients. Performs a variety of direct patient care procedures to assist the unit manager, professional staff and physicians in providing patient care focused on the needs of the patient.

Minimum Education:

Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Minimum Experience:

Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications: Required:

Certified Nurse Assistant

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Other: Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program. Individuals working as Patient Care Assistants at Loyola University Medical Center prior to 1997 are exempt from the above guidelines and are grandfathered into the Patient Care Tech roles upon successful completion of an in-house orientation and training program for the Patient Care Tech position.
