Job Description SummaryThe Biomedical Equipment Technician III

Position Summary

The Biomedical Equipment Technician III is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on generic, complex, and designated clinical equipment, and diagnoses faults and performs corrective action on all clinical equipment located in designated specialized areas such as advanced biomed, telephony, imaging, pneumatics, and computer applications. This is an entry-level biomed position working under limited supervision. Work situations are a combination of routine and varied functions which require excellent technical skill in the area of bio-medical engineering, problem solving, and decision making. Internal contacts include staff and management through the medical center. External contacts may include vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Two years vocational or college training in Biomedical Electronics Technology, or four years recent experience in electronics
  • Completion of course or schooling on specific equipment in designated area
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $35.80 - $59.17 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
