Our client is urgently seeking a highly skilled Packaging Equipment Engineer with experience in high-speed bottling equipment for a contract assignment. The contract assignment is hybrid with travel to the client site and vendors. The assignment begins in July 2024. Applicants must have high speed bottling experience on resume. Knowledge of cGMP is highly desirable.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship as client is not offering sponsorship for this role.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
You will be responsible for supporting the selection of equipment for a High Speed (800+ bottles / minute) Packaging line that produces glass/plastic bottles or aluminum cans.

Manage equipment vendors once PO's are issued.
Support Line Layout updates as needed.
Develop and execute Equipment Testing Documents.
Develop and execute Installation Phase Documents.
Support the creation of Equipment SOP's and other training / operations documents.
Report status to project team on a frequent basis.
During equipment installation, required to be on site at client (approximately 4 weeks, but subject to completion)
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in product designing, packaging or related engineering fields.
Hands on experience with high-speed packaging equipment
4+ years of experience in packaging design and development.
Strong knowledge of packaging technology, materials and design principles with knowledge of testing methods, regulations and standards for packaging.
Familiarity with production equipment and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software with project management skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements related to packaging materials and design.
Familiarity with packaging robotics and automation.
Experience with packaging-related software.
Ability to work collaboratively or individually.
Additional Information:
Hybrid setup, where most support can occur remote but trips to site and / or vendors may be needed during design phase. 4 weeks minimally on site during installation phase.
Initial Project Duration: 12 weeks with extensions based on resource performance and fit with project team.
Hours / week = 40 hours / week
Expenses: Reimbursed for allowable expenses
Target Start Date: July 2024.
