Job Summary and Qualifications

To maintain an efficient, safe and pleasant work environment. To assist the Director, Manager, Medical Director and Physicist in directing aspects of care provided by the MRI department including but limited to; procedures, treatments, quality improvement, quality control, MRI safety support and other related duties. 

What you will do in this role: 

• Assists the Physician in diagnostic procedures.
• Expectations Ethics and Compliance: All employees will be held accountable for behaviors displayed relative to the values articulated in the Mission and Values Statement. “Will act with absolute honest, integrity and fairness in the way we conduct our business and the way we live our lives.” All employees will be held accountable for attending training regarding the Code of Conduct program at least annually.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Monitors the equipment for mechanical safety.
• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by Physician.
• Provides safe environment for administration of contrast material.
• Reports changes in patient status to appropriate person.
• Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum two (2) year working experience in a hospital imaging department with one (1) year experience in CT or MRI is preferred 
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate, or Associate Degree
