Basic requirements:

Candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to assists the higher-grade mechanics with removing, altering, repairing, fabricating and installing a variety of sheet metal items and systems. Demonstrate ability to clean, lubricate and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to use and maintain hand and power tools related to the sheet metal trade. Show ability to make or assist in making shop assembly of parts and secures parts with fasteners or by having them tack welded. Cuts, bends, and forms metal pieces to required specifications using complicated tools and equipment such as sliproll forming machines, box and pan brakes, rotary machines, crimpers, beading machines and computer lay out machines. Demonstrate the ability to interpret instructions, specifications, blueprints, etc. to perform job duties. Demonstrate the ability tp utilizes a variety of measuring instruments such as protractors, calipers, various gauges, and other hand devices to accurately measure plans and projects.

Starting salaries are commensurate with education and experience, plus full benefits. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Males born after December 31, 1959 are required to be registered with the Selective Service System. All positions are subject to satisfactory completion of a security investigation, successful completion of a pre-employment physical, and/or drug test.
