Contracts Administrator

Under general direction, administers assigned contracts and required changes, ensuring compliance with government and/or commercial contract requirements. You will analyze estimates of material, equipment and production costs. Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements. Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions. Initiates documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications. May do some contract negotiations.

Your Challenge:

  • Review of customer inquiries, contract documents, contract terms and conditions and correspondence as part of the bid evaluation and subsequent proposal process.
  • Coordinate, prepare and write proposals for new contracts as well as changes to existing contracts. Develop pricing in support of EPD’s financial objectives and strategies. Support cost audits and price negotiations.
  • Participate in negotiation of those proposals. This includes negotiation of financial and administrative terms and conditions.
  • Maintain liaison with customers and internal personnel to expedite and coordinate proposal and contract activities. This includes clear written and verbal communications.
  • Manage customer relationships through review of program status and determine if actions with the customer are required.
  • Employ problem solving skills to effectively resolve issues with the customer and internal/project personnel.
  • Develop, implement and improve processes and systems to address contract review, administration, proposal development/processing, document flow, record keeping and terms and conditions.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a comprehensive fashion and in the time-frame specified.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentations; track, monitor and report data to support proposal development

What You Bring:

  • BS or BA in Business Administration or related field
  • Must be a US citizen and be able to qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Government Contracting, Business Administration or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Oracle. Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Working experience with Government Contracting principles
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR/CAS terms and conditions
  • Working knowledge of Truth-in-Negotiations-Act (TINA) principles
  • Experience in customer negotiations and problem solving
  • Prior U.S. Government security clearance is a plus
