The Opportunity

This is a regular position in a first shift Monday to Friday (8:30am-5:00pm) in our Abbott Vascular Plant in Barceloneta site. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

Executes the handling of materials to support all functional areas of warehouse: receiving, storage, dispatch and shipping according to the itineraries of each area. Assist the Supervisor to achieve current receiving, production and shipment itineraries. Assists the Supervisor to achieve production itineraries and quality goals.

What You’ll Do

• Unloads, verifies and secretes raw materials, packaging components and miscellaneous materials at the time they are received in the warehouse.
• Prepares and identifies the materials to be located. Transfer material to arranged location in general storage areas. Records location in inventory control systems.
• Dispatches manufacturing and packaging components for production orders, according to current production itinerary, through the SAP system and the "Kanbans" system.
• Dispatches miscellaneous materials required by the areas of manufacturing, weighing, packaging and/or support departments.
• Assists the planning assistant and other support groups in maintaining data integrity and bulk product transaction documentation for packing orders.
• Prepares and transports final product to be shipped to the containers arranged for shipment and operates the component filling systems.
• Maintains assigned area of responsibility clean and in accordance with good manufacturing practices (CGMPs) and safety.
• Maintains inventory using First In-First Out (FIFO) to ensure that materials are maintained in accordance with shipping specifications and practices.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma / GED

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Experience in the warehouse area, shipping, handling and dispatch procedures.
• Experience in forklift driving and/or material handling.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Good interpersonal relationships.
• Teamwork Oriented

The base pay for this position is $12.25 – $21.45 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
