Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of her/his unit. They will serve as liaison between staff and administrative personnel. The Nurse Manager establishes personnel qualification requirements, initiates in-service programs, installs record and reporting system, and performs other personnel management tasks. 

What you will do in this role:

  • You will develop standards and procedures for providing nursing care and for evaluating service.
  • You will have the opportunity to provide orientation, teaching, and guidance to staff to improve quality patient care.
  • You will promote strong and effective working relations with other hospital departments.
  • In this role you will recommend the establishment or revision of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance.
  • You will be assisting in preparation of and oversight of the departmental budget.

 What qualifications you will need: 

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • Three to five years critical care clinical experience. 
  • Three to five years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Computer Skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • CPI required and kept current per hospital requirements.
  • ACLS EP preferred. 
  • Specialty certification preferred. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
