Our client, a multinational electron manufacturing company is seeking a Buyer Planner  to join their team. As a Buyer Planner, you will be part of the administration supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have Buyer experience, communication, and organizational skills which will align successfully with the organization.

 

Job Title: Buyer Planner 

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Pay Range: 40/hr.

 

What’s the Job?

  • Planning and purchasing of material to support manufacturing, based on the Master Schedule
  • Document of procurement activities to meet Company and Government requirements (FAR and DFAR).
  • Effective Management on Supplier delivery and quality performance
  • Negotiation with suppliers regarding price, delivery, terms and specifications
  • Small Business Liaison Officer – Prepare/negotiate Small Business Plans per customer request, FAR and DFAR requirements. Submits semi-annual report of SBP progress.

 

What’s Needed?

  • 3+ years of Purchasing experience 
  • Solid understanding of MRP, cost, or pricing data, and other associated reports.
  • FAR & DFAR experience, including small Business Experience.
  • Must have strong negotiation skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to write and develop contracts with minimal assistance.
