The Role

Our Banking & Financial Services Consulting group is looking for a Product Owner to join our journey.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product focusing on payment modernization and other features. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management within the banking / payments, with a specific emphasis on Debit Servicing experience. This role involves working closely with our client's product managers to define and prioritize requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of the project in an Agile environment.

We’re looking for Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in PeopleCare initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Responsibilities

· Responsible to work with the development team for building debit agent servicing capabilities for mobile and web-based applications.

· Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on changing requirements

· Overseeing all stages of product creation, including design, development, demonstrations, deployment and gathering feedback.

· Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process.

· Working with the product/business team and end-users to deliver functionalities while maintaining quality.

· Refining business requirements, prioritizing the product and sprint backlogs into actionable stories.

· Act as a liaison between product teams, business users and technical teams to deliver tangible outcomes

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

· An MBA or related advanced degree is a plus.

· Minimum of 2 - 5 years of product Product Owner experience in the fintech sector, specifically working with Mobile and Web based financial applications.

· Payment or Debit Servicing experience with banks is highly preferred

· Proven experience working in an Agile development environment, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of current trends and developments in the payments industry.
