Ascension Saint Thomas is looking for a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our unit Join us in providing excellent care to stroke patients while learning a variety of skills. Paid training and overtime available

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.
ResponsibilitiesPerform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Aide preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
This position is a year-round position with a commitment of 3 days of 12 hour shifts for full time. Availability throughout the week is highly preferred to fulfill the rotating weekly schedule.
