Roles and Responsibilities
- Leads component, module, and system level design activities.
- Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flowdown.
- Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
- Manages interface between design, systems, and execution organizations.
- Establishes product requirements (internal and external), defines components and sub systems making up the overall architecture.
- Provides forward looking strategy for platforms and technology development / insertion to make product competitive.
- Defines and provides scope management. (defines the what).
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline.
- Serves as best practice/quality resource.
- Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 6 years of mechanical design or systems integration experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace or equivalent industry.
- Minimum of 6 years of turbomachinery heat transfer/secondary systems design experience.
Desired Characteristics
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Exposure to aviation engine design or certification requirements.
- 10 years of experience in design/development of turbomachinery.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Communicate and coordinate clearly with internal and external partners.
- Communicate concisely and appropriately with both internal and external senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Passionate about giving & receiving mentorship.
- Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams.
- Able to work both in a global team and individually.
- 10 years of experience in an Engineering position, especially with global and cross functional teams.
- Ability to guide and influence others.
- Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work.
