**Position Details**
Schedule: Wed-Sun 4p-12:30a
Hourly Rate: $16.25 /hr
Requirements: Valid NE Driver's License with 2+ years of driving experience
Where: Downtown Lincoln
Spirit of the Position:
The Garage Custodian / Cleaner maintains on-street parking equipment to ensure it is in good working order through preventative repairs, housekeeping and janitorial duties, general labor and assembly.
What will you do?
- Note and report any safety condition relating to equipment or place of employment.
- Housekeeping duties: sweeping, emptying trash receptacles, mopping elevator floors, replacing lights, cleaning windows and light fixtures, cleaning and servicing parking equipment, cleaning elevator tracks, cleaning of elevator walls, periodic repainting of curbs.
- Walk assigned route daily noting and correcting any maintenance problems.
- Paint meter poles, curbs, equipment as required.
- Special help may be required for events and storms
Physical Demands:
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift continuously throughout a shift.
- Ability to operate machinery and vehicles.
