Our fortune 500 client one of the largest Computer Hardware -companies in Austin, TX is looking for Hardworking and motivated Memory Validation Lab Technician to join their innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware and software testing to identify functional issues in AMD server systems.
  • Build and set up new platforms, including hardware and software installation.
  • Track inventory and equipment status in the lab.
  • Follow detailed instructions and maintain thorough notes on testing and results.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Complete assigned tests within expected timelines, multitasking under high-pressure situations.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong background in computer hardware, software, and PC architecture.
  • Extensive familiarity with all Windows operating systems and preferred Linux experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in PC hardware and software validation; strong troubleshooting skills required.
  • Technical expertise in PC hardware devices and motherboard architecture.
  • Knowledge of PC architecture principles to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues.
  • Experience with the installation of Linux and Windows operating systems, including drivers.
  • Experience flashing BIOS using ROM burner or utilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics to locate voltage rails, signals, and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and deciphering system registers.
  • Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, or software to determine memory or HyperTransport frequency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on detail.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Soldering experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualities:
  • Familiarity with Python scripting.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow skill set.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
