SUMMARY

The Scheduler will create and update monthly pumping and delivery schedules. This individual will provide a primary link with customers and respond to customer inquiries. Coordinate with connecting pipelines, field operations, and pipeline controllers to ensure that product movements comply with regulations, company policies, and relevant procedures for safe and efficient operations of pipeline and terminal systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate monthly nominations – schedule inventory and pipeline movements to ratably deliver shipper nominated totals

  • Track month to date progress of schedules – Accumulate and track updated receipt and delivery month to date volumes. Revise schedules and pump orders as needed.

  • Inventory Management – facilitate pipeline movements to manage system inventory at a safe and reasonable level to ensure scheduled deliveries are ratable and timely

  • Product quality – schedule product movements effectively to maintain product quality with particular emphasis on batched systems

  • Operations and Accounting support – provide support to both Operations and Pipeline Accounting during month end close process and as needed.

  • Expected to provide 24/7 on call support; occasional field visits as needed

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Continuous communications with field operating personnel, pipeline accounting, connecting pipelines, and management.

  • Basic knowledge of pipeline operations including inventory management

  • Possess the ability to work independently as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 0-2 years of experience

  • Broad experience in scheduling, control center, and pipeline operations including SCADA and related systems applications preferred

  • Experience with VMACS is preferred

  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks

  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
