Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a Sea Freight Reefer to join their team. As a Sea Freight Reefer, you will be part of the Seafreight operations team supporting the export and import of goods. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented and accurate personality, good responsiveness, and a determined personality that doesn’t give up and tries until the end.

Job Title: Sea Freight Reefer

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Range: $24-$25 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Attention to Export and Import Customers
  • Arrange export shipments and Import shipments - Logistics as well as Required documentation
  • Deal with Customs, Truckers and Carriers  to ensure smooth operations
  • Deal with outside service providers related to health care and perishables
  • Co-ordinate with KN destination office and customer for order follow up
  • Proactive response to service issues.
  • Prepare files and finish all tasks in company system in daily work
  • Monitoring and updating of shipment status.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with customers, teams, offices and subcontractors
  • Follow up customer standard operating procedure and meet key performance indicators requirement
  • Deliver PharmaChain minimum standards for every booked shipment for export-import shipments.

What's Needed?

  • Working experience should be at least 3-5 years in Seafreight operations. If the candidate has only export experience, that’s acceptable. If the candidate has only import experience, it’s not suitable. If the candidate has no reefer export experience but has dry export experience, that’s acceptable. We prefer candidates who have experience handling RF exports and those who have worked with DG export cargo.
  • The candidate should have good responsiveness and know which contacts to reach out to and what to check when operational issues arise.
  • The candidate should have a good understanding of the entire Seafreight export handling process, from door pick-up to billing. (Export)
  • A person who is highly responsible and accountable for their work.
  • A person with a determined personality who doesn’t give up and tries until the end.
