Mechanical Engineer 3

Our client, a leading organization in data center operations and engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer 3, you will be part of the engineering support team supporting construction, commissioning, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 3 Location: onsite - Des Moines, IA 50265 Duration: 18 Months on W2 Pay Range: $38 - $42/hour M-F - 40hours/week What's the Job? Develop a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems within data centers, including chilled water systems, CRAH units, valves, and heat exchangers. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning projects, ensuring systems meet design specifications through field coordination and validation. Collaborate with electrical engineers, commissioning teams, and operations personnel to ensure seamless system integration. Conduct audits and inspections to verify installed mechanical systems' compliance with drawings and specifications. Participate in regional and global meetings to align on standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices for commissioning and operations. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. 5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems within data centers or similar environments. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Outlook, Word, Excel, and familiarity with Revit is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical system design, operation, and troubleshooting.
