As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Practical knowledge of design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems in a digital engineering environment (i.e., MBSE and digital twin)

  • Practical knowledge of design and document configuration management

  • Practical knowledge of industry-standard systems engineering and modelling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, EnterpriseArchitect, etc.

  • Experience creating and maintaining system requirement specifications 

  • Experience performing gap analysis of system/sub-system requirement specifications

  • Experience performing impact analysis of proposed changes to system/sub-system requirement specifications

  • Experience in system validation (including creation of validation plans, and definition and evaluation of validation procedures)

  • Experience verifying system requirements (including creation of verification plans, and definition and evaluation of verification cases and procedures)

  • Experience working in a highly-collaborative multi-disciplinary team

  • Demonstrated ability to lead development efforts of moderate complexity

  • Experience mentoring junior team members

  • Strong organization skills and work ethic

Preferred:

  • Familiarity and/or experience of system safety process to identify potential system safety risks and mitigations, such as MIL-STD-882\ARP-4761

  • Familiarity and/or experience of system cybersecurity risk management framework/process to identify potential system risks and mitigations per DoDI 8500.01

  • Familiarity and/or experience establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)

  • Familiarity and/or experience with software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral

  • Familiarity and/or experience with industry-standard systems engineering and modeling languages such as SysML, UML, ADL, etc.

  • Familiarity and/or experience with industry-standard systems engineering and modeling tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB, and Simulink

  • Familiarity and/or experience with INCOSE Standards

  • INCOSE Professional Certification

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
