Department: OT IP Acute

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the therapist.
  • Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: None required.
