The Special Education Teacher Assistant will assist the classroom teacher in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment in which students may take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources.

Requirements:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, and/or behavior managementProficient in the use of standard computer applicationsMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsThe ability to work collaboratively with existing staffSupplemental Health Care will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable local, state, or federal law (including San Francisco Ordinance #131192, Los Angeles Municipal Code 189.00, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act).
