Painter Helper

Job Summary: Six Flags Over Georgia is looking for a seasonal Paint Helper. This position performs a variety of work including the preparation and painting of interior/exterior structures, automobiles, metal and fiberglass ride components and concrete areas.

 Payrate: $16.50/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Utilize paint brushes, spray guns or paint rollers to apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer in various applications (interior, exterior, automotive and specialty applications).
• Removing interior/exterior fixtures prior to completing paint project and replace when complete.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to park policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

 Payrate: $16.50/hr

Skills and Qualifications:  

• Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
• Ability to write, speak and understand English with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
• Ability to comply with safety protocols for being exposed to fumes airborne particles (ability to wear a respirator).
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with EPD regulations for paint/fume control
• Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays. .
• Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
