What we need

Symbotic is seeking a Maintenance Auditor responsible for re viewing and analyzing work performed by technicians in their assigned areas. The Auditor provides guidance on best practices, policy, protocol, site appearance, inventory control, and time management. The Auditor will inspect site staff and contractor work, compile data, ensure that company initiatives are implemented, train and mentor staff as required . This position is crucial in establishing a free-flowing chain of information between the field operations teams and headquarters. The Auditor will be required to generate site audit reports and recommend corrective actions based on audit findings to senior management both on site and at headquarters. The Auditor will generate quarterly metrics reports and serve as a key liaison with site teams, Symbotic HQ, and customer program teams engaged in the continuous improvement process of the maintenance program.

The Maintenace Auditor is part of our customer site operations and supply chain organization to assure they receive the correct replacement parts that the site needs. The organization drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to ensure best-in-class quality, and system performance.

What you'll do

  • Monitor quality of maintenance workmanship on all systems across multiple projects.
  • Report all nonconformities and identify if they are related to poor workmanship, process or tooling gaps, manufacturing issues, or nonconforming parts.
  • Monitor accuracy of production paperwork and data entry into CMMS systems.
  • Set protocols and best practices for maintaining Symbotic systems and provide supplementary training to responsible personnel.
  • Document and develop quarterly status reports related to work completion and direction given.
  • Mentor, train, and document performance of field Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Manager.
  • Review site work orders, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and projects; set goals and follow up to ensure accountability.
  • Provide oversight and support for the Maintenance Manager at assigned sites.
  • Identify corrective actions to be taken to address underperforming personnel or sites in general.
  • Review existing policies and practices and provide process improvement recommendations.
  • Cross functional collaboration with training team to develop ongoing training and mentorship curriculum.
  • Ensure that all repairs are managed in a timely and appropriate manner .
  • Assist Maintenance Managers in conducting the implementation of various policies, standards, procedures, and programs relating to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the Symbotic system.
  • Accompany site staff during regular preventative maintenance inspections of all assets as needed.
  • Cross functional collaboration with Service Readiness Engineering to assist with the identification and recommendation of customer spare parts packages.
  • Develop and plan spare parts room storage requirements and layouts for customers.
  • Assist with the organization and initial stocking of spare parts at customer locations.
  • Monitor Maximo CMMS System performance within Technician and Inventory Specialist roles.
  • 60-75% travel required .
  • Willing to work weekends or overnights as needed.


What you'll need

  • Skilled in Excel and Spreadsheet creation with use of formulas and macros highly desired.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office functionality.
  • Minimum of 5 years Maintenance experience required, Maximo experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and create procedures pertaining to maintenance functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics is required .


Our Environment

  • Up to 60% - 7 5 % of travel may be required . Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
