We serve more than 25 industries, from agriculture to technology, and we insure 90% of the Fortune 500®.  This position will be responsible for: Underwriting basics – Mentor will teach what an underwriter does by topicBasic business unit financial reportingFinancial reports for upcoming meetings through UW Desktop and Power BIPipeline managementPreparation and participation in presentations and stewardship meetingsLoss summary review and inputsAttending a broker meeting with MentorYou will learn: Insurance underwriting basicsRelationship managementOrganizational skillsPresentation skillsCollaboration skillsTime management skills Basic Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship Must be eligible to work in the U.S.  Preferred Qualifications: Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school)Demonstrates problem solving skills in a customer-focused environmentExcellent communication skillsAnalytical skillsExcel and PowerPoint experienceSelf-motivated, punctual, professional and able to work independently At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education.  The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled.
