Finance Coordinator

Our fortune 500 client one of the largest food manufacturing -companies in Solon, OH is looking for Hardworking and motivated Finance Coordinator to join their innovative team.

We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Solon, OH finance department. We are seeking a dedicated Coordinator responsible for ensuring accurate payments to vendors based on contracts. This role requires a background in Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:

• Validate and audit freight bills for import and export vendors.
• Resolve payment disputes and maintain vendor Statements of Account (SOAs).
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain organization to resolve payment issues for ocean, dray, and customs broker vendors.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve disputed or rejected items.
• Provide insights on vendor billing performance and recommend process improvements.
• Act as a liaison between the Import and Export team, procurement, vendors, and the accounts payable department.
• Reconcile various accounts, identifying errors in postings or omissions.
• Handle vendor correspondence and ensure timely follow-ups.

• Education: Associate degree minimum; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business.
• Experience:
  • Background in accounting, AP, AR, and customer service.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Knowledge of transportation processes, particularly in shipping or exporting, is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong initiative to solve issues and overcome barriers.
