About the role

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of production inspectors, ensuring that production delivery and quality metrics are met. The Quality Supervisor will focus on employee productivity, quality, safety, and training, typically supervising a team of supervisors, leads, and inspectors.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

What you'll do

  • Communicate overall priorities to the extended team of supervisor and team leads to meet company goals:
  • Ship date (day/week/month)
  • Quantity of units
  • Aged units
  • Capacity
  • Efficiency
  • Quality issues from production and/or vendors
  • Safety & 6S
  • Lean Tools
  • Problem solving tools and Action plan (PDCA).

Personnel Supervision

  • Attendance / OT / PTO Execution
  • Training Execution
  • Staffing Execution
  • Workload Balance
  • Compliance with SOPs and work standards
  • Performance evaluation and feedback

Issue Resolution

  • Resolve/ escalate issues regarding worker problems, complaints, or grievances
  • o Ability to act as a decision-maker regarding inspection results and
  • consequent workflow

Process Improvement / 6S Leadership

  • Work with Manufacturing teams to identify and execute process/tool improvements:
  • Peer Manager(s)
  • Manufacturing Engineering / Manufacturing Quality Engineering
  • Maintenance Team
  • Monitor and maintain KPIs regarding IPQC3-collected data and findings to
  • make data-driven decisions

What you bring

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Ability to prioritize workload and possess excellent multi-tasking skills.

Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information and train/advise/lead line inspectors.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

Competencies:

  • Possess a prominent level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead an inspection team
  • Ability to simplify issues/direction and communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees.
  • Ability to pull information together from numerous sources and consolidate into a plan/direction for the organization.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in high complexity technology manufacturing environment
  • Project management, engineering, quality, high-tech product manufacturing environment
  • Lean manufacturing hands on experience
